Sand and refinish existing stairs or install brand-new treads and risers. We don't paint risers — but we'll point you to someone who does.
Sand and refinish existing stairs, or install brand-new treads. Either way, stairs are a different animal than floors — every tread is a custom piece, and the sanding angle changes on every step.
Same process as a floor refinish, but each tread gets hand-attention. Pet damage, dog-claw scratches, missing nosing, separation between tread and riser — all repairable. We can stain treads to match a new floor color or keep them in their original wood.
We install solid hardwood treads (red oak, white oak, hickory, or walnut) and either match the existing risers or install new wood risers.
We don’t paint risers — but if you want white painted risers with stained treads (the popular look that’s been hot since 2010), we’ll happily point you to a painter we trust who does the prep work right.
Most stair-only jobs are 1-2 days on site plus quick coats the other days.
Water damage, pet stains, gaps wide enough to lose a quarter. We weave new boards in seamlessly — you won't be able to spot the patch.
Waterproof, kid-proof, dog-proof. A great choice for kitchens, mudrooms and basements — installed with the same craft as our hardwood floors.
A screen-and-coat refresh extends the life of your existing finish for a fraction of the cost of a full refinish. Wax removal, too.
Bring tired oak, maple or pine back to life. Match an existing room or pick a new stain color. We will have your floors looking brand new.
No high-pressure sales call. No upsell. Just a written estimate, from the same family who'll do the work.
